Tomorrow is our year-end fun day. Our plan is to walk to the Murphy Centre for bowling in the morning and then on to Victoria Park to eat lunch and have some games in the afternoon. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will have our lunch and games in the classroom in the afternoon. I have reminded my students to dress appropriately for the weather and to bring lunch, snacks, and drinks with them.

Friday is our Grade 6 closing. Because of COVID protocols, we are having a “drive through” closing. Students and their families are invited to “drive through” the bus lane during their designated time (the time for our class is 9:30 – 10:00 am). There will be an opportunity for pictures to be taken as well. A reminder that you enter the bus lane from the Nassau Street end and proceed through the bus lane.

Looking forward to seeing you on Friday!

Information:

Queen Charlotte Intermediate School will be holding a virtual meeting (google meet) on Wednesday, February 10 at 7 pm for any families considering the late French immersion program for their Grade 6 student when he or she enters Grade 7. In preparation for that meeting, a video has been created.

The video has been created by personnel at the Department of Education. This video reviews the basic elements of the LFI program (what it is, the vision/goal, the expectations, how parents can support, guiding and frequently asked questions as well as a review of some of the important parts of the updated registration form.) The registration form will be out at the end of that week, after students, parents, and families view the video. The video is about 28 minutes in length and can be viewed on any platform. Cut and paste the link into a browser as needed.
